Hotel Pod Vezi
Founded at the end of the 12th century, the Pod Vzí hotel lies in the shade of the Bridge tower, roughly in a place where there used to be an ancient ford and later the gothic Charles Bridge, nearby the bishops yards and opposite the Maltese Order Convent. It is an ideal place for experiencing the thousand year old European culture that Prague has combined with the modern day life. The hotel offers a unique retreat for guests, with its beautifully decorated single and double bedrooms. It also has its own restaurant, which seats up to 60 guests and is situated on the ground floor. Guests can choose between a first section, facing the Mostecka street with views of the Charles Bridge, and a second one, situated in a closed courtyard. According to an archaeological research, the private room for 10 people in the basement is probably the only part of the building that has been preserved from the 12th century. Secretarial services, guides, car rental and taxi service are available for both groups and individuals. At the reception there is a bureau de change. Moreover, guests have Internet access from every room and all social areas.
